The traditional Christmas Day run was a great success. We somehow managed to pick up a Goyt Valley Strider on the way. The run took in Solomon's Temple, where there was a strategically placed drinks station.

| The group meeting up in Poole's Cavern carpark. | Graham Morson was manning the drinks station. Andy and Mark found the formula a bit on the strong side by the look of it. | The mince pies disappeared at an alarming rate. Rudolf and the other reindeers had to go without. We are not amused, a reindeer spokesperson said. |
The wild and crazy gang partook in a fancy dress run on the last Wednesday before Christmas. The run took in one or two of the local hostelries. It is not known what the other patrons thought, but one can safely assume that one or two might have made a solemn promise never to drink again. This was also Judith and Tony's last run with us before moving half-way round the world. A very good time was had by all. All photos are courtesy of Sheila Bradley. The photos are of course clickable.

A number of our juniors took part in the straight race, with great success all round. We managed to raise one women's team and two men's teams in the Wilf Richards Cross Country Relays at Heaton Park. The weather was variable with gusting wind and overcast skies, but it remained relatively dry.
I would like to point out that the only reason the Chairman appears in all these photos is that these were the only photographs available when the website was created. The photographs below have been kindly provided by Geoff Whitehead.
Click on the photographs for a larger picture, which will be shown in a new window. It is possible that a new window does not appear for some of you. This is almost certainly due to the fact that your browser has been set to deny popup windows, etc. You might therefore have to change the browser settings.
